Pysanky: The Art of Ukrainian Egg Design

Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 am-2:00 pm

Create your own pysanky through this batik method of design, adapting ancient traditions from Ukraine to fit your personal meaning and style. Workshop leader Johanna Zenobia Krynytzky has been "writing" these eggs since she was old enough to hold a kistka, taught by her mother and grandmother. Today it thrives, in and out of Ukraine, as a national symbol of resilience, expression, and rebirth.

The Love Quilt Project

Sunday, April 21 from 12:00-1:30 pm

The Love Quilt Project provides funds for education for South African and American children living in foster care, as well as the emotional support tool of a beautiful handmade quilt filled with messages of love that are created by children to help these children in need. All are invited to join us for an afternoon of learning about this project and creating our own quilt squares! You can learn more about the Love Quilt Project here.
