Experiencing the Godly in Dance

Theater, Dance Groups Start New Sessions "Godly Dance,"

The Cathedral dance appreciation class, has started a spring semester, Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Harvard Hall. Led by professional choreographer and director Jack Clark, this class opens the eyes and the body to experience the godly in ballet and contemporary dance works through videos, lecture, and movement. The movement component is simple and non-strenuous and can be performed while sitting. Please speak to Jack if you'd like more information. Our Reader's Theatre has also added a spring semester, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Is there an actor in you just yearning to step onstage? Come and open the eyes and body to the Godly within ballet and contemporary dance works. Enhance your appreciation of the power of the human condition as expressed in the works of master choreographers. Explore the choreography of dance-works in safe, movement experiences. Experience a spectrum of dance masterworks. Topics will also include: Somatic Movement; the history of dance in Christian worship; Praise Dance; American Modern Dance; Balanchine and Contemporary Ballet.

We meet most Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in Harvard Hall.
