July 24: Flying Too High, by Kerry Underwood. Set in Australia in the 1920s, this is part of the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries, inspiration for the BBC series. Phryne Fisher, amateur detective and dazzlingly-dressed woman of glamour and mystery, brings dash and elan to flying planes, clearing a friend of homicide charges, and caring for a child.
